Mum and baby yoga is the follow on class from Baby Massage (you don’t need to have done baby massage to join though). This class runs on an ongoing basis and is booked in 6 week rolling blocks and class must be attended over 6 consecutive weeks.
The class focusses on nurturing and enhancing the bond between mum/carer and baby in the postnatal period as well as supporting and rehabilitating the postnatal body.
During the class you’ll learn postnatal safe yoga postures, whilst practicing gentle, nourishing yoga breathing techniques for mum/carer. The class allows Mum/carer time to take stock, move safely and breath, this is more important than ever during the postnatal period. The simple yoga breathing techniques used during the class, are easily integrated into daily life and can provide relief for stress and anxiety, we also include pelvic floor exercises.
This class is suitable for mums/carers (from 6 weeks postnatal, in some instances 12 weeks) and babies (until mobile).
You’ll need a yoga mat for yourself and baby to lie on, a cushion/ yoga blocks for you to sit on, a drink of water and anything else that baby might need during the class.
The class will run face to face, with an online option available if you can’t make it along, giving you the flexibility to join in a way that suits you and baby best.
The face to face classes will be run in a COVID 19 safe manner, but please note we may be required to revert to fully online, should government guidelines on face to face classes change. Please only book if you are able to attend online if need be, in the event that government guidelines change. Please also be aware that all classes are non-transferable and non refundable.
